The country’s aged-care industry and experts gather for NZACA’s annual conference.

The theme: “Health, Politics & Your Business”.
Where & When: Rotorua Energy Event Centre, 13 - 15 September.

Experts gathering to for first discussion about the Aged Residential Care Service Review.

The Aged Residential Care Service Review has just been released by DHBs, New Zealand Aged Care Association and the Ministry of Health.

The Review has identified an urgent need to take steps to plan for the residential care of New Zealand’s ageing and north-drifting population.

A key focus of the conference will be the analysis of the largest, most extensive review of the NZ aged residential care sector.

Experts from NZ and overseas will be involved in panel discussions about the review and will be available for comment.

Conference topics range from current and future models of care to the impact of politics to complaints, and include:

 Aged-care champions emerge in impossible circumstance. Results of judging of the INsite/NZACA Excellence in Care Awards will be announced at the conference.

 Jean-Pierre de Raad, CEO of NZIER analyses, ‘Aged Residential Care Demand and Supply to 2026’

 Cam Ansell from Grant Thornton looks at, ‘Bringing Private Funds into ARC – Australia’s Bonding Model’

 Dr Bruce MacDonald, University of Auckland, ‘The Robot Assistant in Aged Care’
